wellbeinginfo.org has been an online directory of local information since 2012 and in 2017 we made the decision that, as there is a lot of information out there around supporting young people, we should start a dedicated area so that information can be found in one place to support them. We are currently working with young people, parents/carers and professionals from across Sunderland and South Tyneside to develop a young-person friendly area so that we can continue to provide up to date and reliable information on improving wellbeing and accessing services at the most appropriate time.
We understand that there is often a wait to access services and because of this we aim to provide self-help tools and information which can be used by young people during this wait in order to support themselves. By having 3 different sections for we aim to provide:
Young people with information so that they can support themselves and find extra support if necessary.
Parents/carers with information and tools which they can use to support the young person they care for.
Professionals with information they can use to help improve the wellbeing of young people they are working/volunteering with.
